3 months down the line since the painful death of KTN’s Swahili news anchor, Ahmed Darwesh, in December 2015 his wife Mwanahawa has come out for the first time to talk about the death of his beloved husband.
Mwanahawa has revealed that her husband predicted his death.
“My husband, the late Ahmed Darwesh, occasionally dropped hints that his days on Earth were numbered, but I did not catch on”
Speaking to the Standard she says;
“Mimi nitaondoka niwaachie Ridhwan (son), (When I am gone, I will at least leave you with Ridhwan), and my girls”
Mrs. Darwesh then went on to reveal Ahmed’s last words to her;
“Mamake wanangu; wanangu, nilelee vyema (My love, take good care of my children).”
Darwesh is survived by his wife Mwanahawa and three children Rahma (9 years),Rahima (7 years) and Ridhwani ( aged 1 month and 13 days by the time of his death).
